Saturday we pretty much stayed in. There was a jazz concert on the villa grounds; we went, stayed for an hour, and got too tired and left. The group flight came (about 60% of the people were on this flight, so not many were there on Saturday when I got there) and it was cool to meet even more people. Then we got introduced to the teachers, had to introduce ourselves (in front of 80 or so people, the standard ice breaker crap I'm used to because of NYU), and went on a bus to the town center. Then was the walking tour; we saw the major outdoor sights, but museums were all closed because it was Sunday (plus...we were tired). Then, free ice cream. Good stuff. I liked.
Went back to La Pietra and showered (2nd time in 24 hours) and met some people to go to town for dinner. We pretty much ate at the first place we saw because we were all starving. And we didn't know the tipping situation, because we thought we didn't have to tip (in Italy there's a surcharge Coperto that's included in the check, and it is a form of 'tip') but on the bottom of our check it said 'service not included.' I think we were supposed to give extra, because the waitress looked pretty angry on the way out. I'll ask a teacher or something. And now it's Monday. My first class is in an hour or so, and I can't believe I have school again. Kinda weird. I also realized last night that these grades will really affect my GPA like any class in NY would. Even more weird. AND, I realized I have to do secondaries here / the MCAT is in less than 2 weeks. Which isn't weird, but frankly blows. Anyway, enjoy the pictures. Til next time.

and la pietra is so gorgeous...i still don't see what nyu did to deserve that. the gardens were my favorite part.

david...i still don't know if u get these messages,,,i write one almost every day, but i'm not sure if i'm sending it or not..,,,yesterday i tried to send an email, and when i finished writing it i couldn' send it...only send later was an option so i did that...hopefully u got it...guess what?, we got an invitation to sean's brother's wedding today...it is in boro park, so it doesn't get more convenient than that....i guess we'll go, jennifer wants us to go...probably so she has someone to talk to,,,,the wedding is seoarate seating....i don't know who ur father will talk to...it is soooooooooooooooo hot here today...95...today and tomorrow, wed should start cooling down a bit...wellington goes to camp thurs...send her an email....aunt sandy was so happy she spoke to u yesterday...i hope you called bubbie also...u can email howie...call ur grandmother and aunt ava...she'd be thrilled..she went to italy twice....anyway, call or send an email later...i hope u get this....love mom...............xoxoxoxoxox
David!! Your pics all look gorgeous I am so jealous that you are making your way around the world slash Italy for now. You look like you are having an amazing time I can't wait to hear all about it. You are going to have to go to dinner with me and Schwartz when u get back in August for a recap dinner. Keep the pics comin...I'm going to be checking up on them.
